Lake Monroe Indiana

Featured Replies

Anyone have any dirt on monroe? I'm planning a spring trip there and have never been on it so any help would be great.

Nah... I wouldn't know anything about it. That's IU country, and I'm a proud Purdue Boilermaker.

In all seriousness, I've heard that the crappie bite is phenomenal in the spring but I have never had the pleasure of fishing it. I waterskied there once a long time ago, and I think I remember that lake having a lot of rip-rap and some very steep/fast dropping shorelines with quick access to deep water. That might be a good place to start.

Good luck, and have fun! I hope someone has better info for you than I did.

Ya I've heard good things about monroe and Patoka when it comes to crappie. I'm sure we'll be throwing a few things that are multi species. Thanks tho, every little bit helps

Sir, i suggest you drive a little farther.... Monroe lake is a joke anymore... the politics have ruined it. Get yourself to patoka.
