  1. This is a great weigh in system! Does anyone have one yet? Or what are your thoughts on it if you haven't seen it yet? If you have a working livewell in your boat this will work in your boat. Check it out Sackcaddy.com
  2. Thanks all. Good to be back.
  3. Well i know I'm not the most popular guy on the site. But after an extremely rough year for me. I walked away from fishing for awhile. But i have been revamped. After fulfilling a life long dream of attending the bassmaster classic, not just as a "fan" but actually getting personal with a few guys. I've gotten a reboot into fishing. And i really needed it.
  4. 1 7'3" MH/f jigs and plastics 1 7' M/M for cranking 1 7' M/F for finesse
  5. The Bass Pros. And MLF, not the on tv. But the dvds, way more information and details on the dvds. 24.99 for 14 hours of fishing? Completely worth it.
  6. I like the curado. Or if you want to spend a tad more on one of them. Get a quantum exo. Or at least look at one.
  7. I have a new curado 200 on my 7'm duckett micro magic pro rod. I haven't messed with it much, but it does feel pretty darn good. I just got my exos in the mail today, and put one on a duckett rod i have... and i like it better because they are amazingly lightweight. But if you want to stay under 200 id recommend the curado. If you don't have a nice really low profile reel on the ducketts they feel kinda weird. Hopefully this helps.
  8. Go to a baitshop and use the biggest minnows they have. Little secret is to hook them as far back as you can. But not enough they're dragging your rig around. Hook in the meat of the tail
  9. ASAP! When i was about 14 i went to the local farm pond in the middle of winter, ice was about 2.5ft thick. I walked out with a pickaxe and made myself 4 or 5 good holes. Walked back to the dock and practiced flipping into them.
  10. I have 3 ducketts. Never even touched a loomis. But since they have a price point rod out now, i may pick one up to see how they compare. But im 100% happy with my ducketts.
  11. Got my exos in.... Very happy with how light they are. I spooled them up and FINALLY got them tuned in. Took me awhile. Talk about free spooling lol. But ill use them for awhile and give you guys an update. I should be going to the lake sunday so ill be able to post a review. But looks and a few casts in the yard make the reels seem pretty good.
  12. Interesting.... i bought one in January as well. I haven't fished with mine but one time though. Interested to see what comes of this.
  13. Does anyone have any opinions on the quantum exo 100s? I got one coming in tomorrow and id like to see what you guys think of them after using them.
  14. If you're fishing a pond that was built in the 80s. WITH PERMISSION! You need to remove about 350 to 400 of the dinks to get it healthy again.
  15. It's a confidence thing i think.
  16. I have a 7'6" mh cranking for trade it's the micro magic pro..
  17. May try that. I know im slacking on high speed reels. I only have 1 7.3:1 i want at least 1 more on another duckett rod. I have the slow smoke up for trade to get a high speed reel. But no luck quite yet. Casted a few times the yard to tune it in. Thats it lol.
  18. I would. BUT i haven't even thrown a spinnerbait in about 15 years... i just have no luck with them. I tend to stick with chatterbait style lures. And the water wont be warm enough for awhile.
  19. Don't expect much my friend. Flw events aren't too fun. But if you haven't been to many weigh ins. They're cool. When it comes down to it they're still pro fisherman and it's nice to meet some of them.
  20. I pour my own. But they are like the stupid tubes
  21. Only jerkbait ill throw. They work for me .
  22. Caught many fish texas rigging it. Like the smallie beaver. Also can use it on a dropshot.
  23. Funny story but 100% legit. I was probably 10 or so. And when me and my brother would go fishing with dad, he would just hand us some of his combos to fish with. He gave me a brand new shimano reel and bps rod and a spinning rod. I fished with the shimano all day because i was just in awe at how awesome it was. We came up on a point so i decided to pick up the shakey head... laying the new setup down on the boat i started casting the shakey head. We go passed some submerged grass which grabs the lure on the new.setup and drags the combo into the water and down to the depths. My dad looks back and says. "I know that wasn't my new rod and reel" i said it was... So he went on getting pretty mad and lecturing me about how i never let lures hang over the side of the boat on a rod thats not in my hand. Fast forward about 3 hours and AT LEAST 100 yds away from where it went in... dad sets the hook, and pulls up that combo. Lays it down on the deck and keeps fishing. Me and my brother just look at each other like what just happened lol. Crazy but true...
