  1. Im on the other side of salem. So i feel your pain!
  2. Ok I'll start out by saying i know some of my setups are wrong and could be improved... but i blew through my budget for rods and reels already. So id like some suggestions on how to get the most out of what i have... Now mind you this is for spring. I have a 5.3:1 smoke 150 with 10# floro on a 7'm cranking duckett micro magic pro for my jerkbait rod and it will eventually be my cranking setup. But i have a kvd jerkbait tied on it right now... A new curado xship in 6.4:1 with 15lb floro on a 7'6" micro magic pro cranking rod. Im going to be throwing lipless cranks with this rod. Primarily because i messed up bigtime and bought a cranking rod when i meant to buy a fast action rod... I have a smoke 7.3:1 with 17lb vicious floro on a 7' mh bps extreme rod for jigs and plastics. And a abu black max 6.4:1 with 12lb floro with a 7'mh just for whatever i feel like throwing with it... If you guys have any questions just ask since im sure i left something out. But i want suggestions on if i should change reels around or what have ya... Tight lines!
  3. Sir, i suggest you drive a little farther.... Monroe lake is a joke anymore... the politics have ruined it. Get yourself to patoka.
  4. Glad I'm not the only one doing this lol. I did it with all my new combos to get them tuned in for casting. Also been flipping 30 feet for hours in the garage into a butter container.
  5. Wonder,excitement,anger,hope,luck
  6. I love to crank. But if I slow down and have to fish slow I typi go to a zoom ultra vibe speed craw
  7. For the coldest classic ever I gotta say 45-10
  8. I have a 2500 on a 7' micro magic pro and it's my favorite spinning combo yet. It seems like it has a very wide range of drag adjustment. Its a very nice reel. I would suggest it.
  9. Dude. Lol that's my go to in the summer lol
  10. I just blew 1100 bucks at bass pro and forgot an essential item. Drop shot weights lol
  11. I have a black max 2 and im waiting to meet someone I don't like and give it to them
  12. Change from Abu to quantum. I did and didn't look back.
  13. 3 duckett micro magic rods and 2 quantum smokes and a daiwa Procyon. And close to 200 in lures with a grand total of 1110.67
  14. I bought a dmc square bill. With 3 sounds. i think it will do good. Just gotta wait for the water to warm up
  15. He didn't seem like a winter bass either lol. Hit pretty good and he put up a fight. But he was very cold
  16. Slooooooooowwwwwwww down till you can't go any slower
  17. Well guys fishing here in Indiana has been pretty slow recently due to water temperature. But after my BPS spending spree of over $1100 I had to test my new gear. I bought a 7'6" mh micro magic pro a 7' m micro magic pro a 7' spinning micro magic pro. And I bou a smoke 100 in 7.3:1 for my worms and jigs. A smoke 150 in 5.3:1 for cranking. And a daiwa Procyon for my spinning reel. And more tackle than you can shake a stick at. I fished for around 9 hours today. Water was clear with a temp in the low 40s. I decided I wou tie on a jerk bait a jig and a shaky head. I only caught 1 fish today on a shaky head in about 10ft of water. Scales weighed him in at 3lb 4 oz. he was on rock. I really have to say I am impressed with my new rods and reels. The smoke 150 and duckett rod will flat out chunk a bait. I've never casted as far as I have with it using 12lb mono. The smoke 100 and 7'6" setup is very smooth and sensitive. And the spinning setup is like no other. I tried a whole lot of power baits but I real only got attention with the shaky head. A zoom finesse work in green pumpkin with a chartuese tail. Hopefully fishing will pick up so I can really put these rods to the test
  18. I use the bass pro xps blade baits and have been catching fish. Yo yo it
  19. Usually it's looking over the side of the boat when dad is idling down the lake. And I somehow smell that sweet sweet smell of a Mercury in the morning.
  20. Having a father on the bass pro nitro state team certainly has its perks. One being I've sat in a z9 the last 8 years. I've rode in and drove triton ranger nitro stratos skeeter and Phoenix. You cannot beat a nitro z series boat. Especially buying one new. The warranty is excellent. mercury outboards are the best of the best when it comes to that. You will not be disappointed when you take that bad boy out on the water. Very very good quality and fishability. Get it and let us know how happy you are to have got it.
