Tatula Hd

Featured Replies

anyone tried one of these? is it pretty much the same reel as the regular tatula just with a deeper spool?

I'm going to get one.

Has a 100mm handle. Also has stout gears.

The IPT is higher too. The 200hs model has 32 IPT compared to type r 100xs at 34.

I'm not an expert on them but I do have one and have used it for around 6 full days now.  They're a great reel...  As are the regular tatula and the tatula type R.  I only have the 7:1 in the regular and the HD as well as the 8:1 in the Type R.

The reels feel the same basically...  You have a little longer handle with the HD as pointed out previously.  100mm vs 90mm.  The spool is listed as deeper and for some reason seems wider to me in my hand.  Overall as long as the reel is comfortable in your hand with the way you hold it, I say go for em.

ill probably go with the regular tatula. gonna be used for mostly cranking. up to medium diving cranks. if i end up needing a swimbait reel tho i will likely get the HD

Hd is perfect for 3 techniques basically.

1 oz+ deep diving cranks on 8 foot rod (loooooong casts), swimbaits, and punching.

You are better off with 100p for medium cranks
