Can any one comment on how the Lexa compares to the Citica E? Has anyone owned both?

I own both. The Lexa palms better, but both are solid reels. Just wish Daiwa would come out with a Lexa with magforce z brakes.

 Both are good reels in their price range. You can't go wrong with either. I'm a Daiwa man but IMO the Citica E is simply a better reel than the Lexa. The Lexa grips have some slack in them, I'm not talking about back play in the handle which it does not have but the grips themselves will wobble on the Lexa. It also needs Magforce Z braking, the regular magforce braking is just not as good. I feel that the Citica E is a very solid reel with better braking and casting.

I own both. I'd give the slight edge to the Citica (based solely on the fact that I've owned the Citica for many years and know it's reliable and have only had a lexa for 1 season) but it's really a coin flip. Both perform great for the price.

I have had both. Sold the Citica's and love the Lexa's. #1 reason................bored with the Citica, reason #2............I like externally adj. mag reels better. Both are great reels. Flip a coin.

I prefer the Citica's but I've never been crazy about Daiwa . I bought the big Lexa for swimbaits and only ever took some casts in the yard. I knew I wouldn't be happy with the reel once I did.  I am curious about the Tatula Type R and might buy one this season. For the price on Ebay you can't lose going with the Type R over the Lexa.
