Tournament Pro And Pro Qualifier Spools

Featured Replies

Does anyone on here know if the spools for the Lew's Tournament Pro and BPS Pro Qualifier are interchangeable? I did a qucik swap to see they they would work in the other reel, and it appears so. I just haven't gotten a chance to cast them so I wanted to see if anyone else had tried this before.

Anyone?

Bump I would like to know as well since I have only found one place that sells the TP spools, I would really like a extra spool so I can switch from fluro to strait braid but $50 for a spool is kinda high for me.

If the dimensions and braking systems attachments are the same it will work. Lew's, ABU, Pflueger, PQ and others are all built in the same factory and share a majority of tooling and interchangeable parts. Measuring and experimenting are the only way to know for sure which parts of which models retrofit. Another thing to check is where the spool shaft rides in the pinion. If they don't match, a sloppy fit can wear the gear set over time.
