just some more paint jobs.  I'm not sure if you'd call the one sexy shad or not.  everyone seems to have a different pattern for sexy shad.  let me know what you think

both of those baits look very good.   That sexy shad color pattern has been painted in different ways for over 20 yrs.   You'll never match the color KVD uses, unless you know the guy that paints his baits.

KVD is cool for having sexy shad made, on his baits.  As far as I know, though, you can order the sexy shad from bass pro shops.  I cant remember which company makes it though... It's not lucky craft, but they have a variation that they call chartreuse shad.  Looks similar.  I like those, they look good, really love the shad!

Edit:  Just found it, it's made by strike king.  http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10151&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&partNumber=29848&hvarTarget=search&cmCat=SearchResults

what I was saying is that every company and every crankbait maker has a different take on the pattern "sexy shad".  the one you linked to has a different pattern than even another strike king advertisement in the FLW magazine.  I think I could paint that particular pattern that was in the link but now I've gone and got cocky.  Sorry.  Thanks for the comments on the lures.

wicky, LC does have a sexy shad pattern now.

Fishing, sure you can paint any of those patterns.   That is a simple pattern to copy.   I bet with 1 practice bait you would have it down.

I like the one with dark grey scales and a yellow stripe on the side.

I've seen brown scales, light blue scales, dark blue scales, and it just depends on what colors work on your water.

Strike King had 3 different versions of that color out for awhile.   I don't know if they've narrowed it down or not.

John Prior paints the best looking pattern I've seen.

I wasn't aware that they were able to capitalize on that name.  I thought SK had some kind of trademark, or copyright on it?  Anyhow, yeah, I have also seen several variations, but not by the same name.  :)  It's cool though! I learned something new!
