i bought some crawfish plastics and horny toads the other day, but my 3/0 hooks are too small for a texas rig,  how big of hooks should i be using.  or should i just use something other than texas rigging?

I use 5/0 EWG hooks for these type baits.  I've begun using Zoom's horny toad hook for toads though.

Exactly like linesider7 said, 5/0 ewg worm hooks do the trick

I use a 4/0 owner rig'n hook.

10 inch + worms- I use a 5/o offset worm hook

Big brushhogs/beavers/frogs etc.- T-rig - 4/0-5/0 EWG Superline hook

Big baits on C-rig- regular wire 4/0 Ewg

I use Gamagatksu's in tournaments....Eagle claws laser sharp- prefishing/fun fishing.

5/0 EWG. For the horny toad, spend the $2 to get the horny toad hook from Zoom.

I would use a 5/0 cutting edge Owner for the toads and a 4/0 gammy for the big plastics.
