Adding 2Nd Trolling Battery

Featured Replies

I have a tracker pro 170. I have 2 batteries in the battery storage next to fuel tank one is a cranking battery and 2nd is trolling battery. I want to add a 2nd trolling battery but dont have room in that compartment. The storage compartment directly in front is seperated by a piece of metal. Will it be safe to drill a hole in that metal and place battery in storage compartment? I want to hook the 2 trolling batteries in parallel since i only have a 12v TM and may upgrade to 24 later if i am able to add another battery.

If it's just the metal panel, and no hidden O'Sh**s!! On either side, I don't see a problem. Just make sure drill a large enough hole you can install rubber grommets to protect the wire.

Yea it looks like its just a metal panel seperating the two. There a little spot in bottom corner i can see my finger on other side. Also if i want to add a battery holder i should be able to screw in small tek screws in the bottom to hold it in place right?
