Google Sketch Up

Featured Replies

Hello ALL, YES another newbie tackle maker here, I will eventually get some lures posted for some pointers!! But as I search and read over threads, I am finding that it seems to be a great Idea to create patterns so that you can duplicate the lure as needed.... Well I have played with a FREE program called google sketched up a little when it first came out, but now I am sitting here wondering if anyone has played with it for lure making?? This seems like it might be a great way to develop and share ideas with others.

I messed around with it for a little while but am not the greatest at non square objects.  I can lay out a floorplan and building in no time but lures are such unique objects it's hard to do.  At least for me anyway.

haha! duplicate post from tackleunderground! :)

I can whip out an almost exact model of a house very quickly, but a lure when I tried it took me so long I just said forget it...

Well yes its a duplicate post, heck the more people you can ask, the better the responses you get!  Besides there might be be people who just read this forum.

I am just trying to see if anyone else has tried and if there was any easy way to do it and share the plans.

Have you ever tried AutoCAD?

I downloaded it but it wont work. It opens and 2 other boxes come up, they have to do with the program, but the one always says (Not Responding) so I dont know what to do. Then I have to close it. So....what did I do now?  :-?

When you install it the two boxes come up.. if I remember, correctly you have to click something within the box (its a tutorial on how to use it if I recall)  once you get that the other one is just tips on how to do stuff..

The boxes come up, but nothing is in them. It just waits a few seconds, then a thing comes up saying this program has stopped working. Oh well, i'll try to re-install it.
