Has anyone fished Milton Lake? I have a tournament out there in mid May and ive never fished the lake. I heard there are smallies and largemouth. Any bait suggestions?? thanks!

It can be very tough but tends to be its best when in a summer pattern. Just catching a limit of small fish there in a tournament can put you in good position. My best advice is to pre-fish if possible. I personally would down size a bit since the average size fish there is fairly small.

I have fished it several times, but that was 30 years ago.  I remember catching bass along the riprap walls along the road, during the spring.  Since the water is still cool that riprap will warm up before the surrounding area.  Seek out any warm water sources.   Try a suspending jerk bait, or a zoom fluke, fished parallel to the riprap..  Good luck.

Did you try the regional board?  I find names of guys over there that don't come to the main boards.
