What To Bring....

Featured Replies

Ok, I'm heading to the "shore" tomorrow (No surf  fishing here) I'm bringing my cranking rod, and a MH/F rod. For baits I'm taking lipless, flat side square bills, finesse jigs, swim jigs, arky jigs (all from Sieberts), and some Rage Tail Chunks. For us North East bass anglers,  should this cover the Season as of now?

North east? Where about in the North east do you have open water? If you do, I'm not sure what you guys were complaining about as far as how bad the winter was. It was 15 today for a high and there's nary an open shore.

New jersey is not in the northeast  . But glad you have open water.  Good luck and enjoy !!

Last I checked it was.......unless they moved it. Brian.

Sounds like you got the cold water covered. Jersey is considered the N.E. in this forum, although technically some might consider it the Mid-Atlantic. I want to know how you have open water in North Jersey, when here in S.E.PA my farm ponds are just barely open, and anything sizable is a ways off? It's still creeks and rivers for us, and most are closed til opening day of trout, or muddy and blown out due to recent rain and run off.

We are open here in Philadelphia and fishing the cold water period. I would Think you could find some fishable water where you are going. All the baits you are taking are great but Don't forget my favorite cold water bait a Jerkbait. Specifically a LC Pointer 78 in chartreuse shad. Good luck out there! And yes New Jersey is considered in the northeast corridor of the country.
