Battery And Minn Kota Tm Help

Featured Replies

So I'm having trouble finding wiring diagrams for my Minn Kota Endura C2 which is the transom mount 55. I'm trying to wire it to a simple marine battery but now I see that I also needed a circuit breaker. This is all mentioned as a requirement but I Need to know if I'm going to need an additional set of wiring going from the battery to the circuit breaker. I'm purchasing the Minn Kota MKR-19 60 amp breaker as recomended by Minn Kota. So confused by all of this when I'm sure it's pretty simple.

This is the diagram in my owners manual. The part that confuses me is the switch, because I don't have one and it didn't come with one. Do I need it?

The positive wire from the battery goes to one pole on the breaker. The red wire from the motor, goes the the other pole on the breaker. The black wire from the motor goes to the negative post on the battery. The wiring diagram you posted is the motors internal wiring. Not needed if you didn't take the motor head apart.

I use the MinnKota Trolling Motor Power Center (Battery Box).

It  has the breaker built in plus a smaller one for accessories.

I use two of them.  Works well.

I recommend it.

btw - The company reports the box fits 24 & 27 size - but I wanted bigger and found a 29 that goes into easily - but check first to be sure.
