My Season Has Finally Begun!!!

Featured Replies

The prespawn has taken some time to arrive, and lakes have only recently iced out.

Got my first fish on a spro aruku shad in perch just burning it under the surface. Felt so good to have a New York bass on my line again.

I also caught a yellow perch on, ironically, a yellow perch rapala jerkbait... how funny.... and even the front hook was in his mouth haha

What does the dark coloration of the fish indicate?

The bass' stomach was also very yellow from the cold water.

Uh, Frostbite? Lol...

Was it relatively clear water? And maybe warmer than you might think?

Water was very murky. Could be why they are dark colored. It seems that clear water bass have very white stomachs unlike these bass.

And water was about 40 degrees

Nice job. That Aruku Shad crank is killer in one of my lakes.
