First off I see that some people use the 5 min to coat during the paint process and then use the 2 Ton as the last coat to seal it. Is this method ok? If so that would take off a lot of waiting time for me. Is there any bad affect from using the 5 min epoxy, like yellowing?

Also, how long do you usually wait to paint over the epoxy? For both the 2 Ton and 5 min stuff?

Well forget the 5 min stuff. Tried it and it gave me no time to work with. Ruined my lure.

Devcon 5 minute epoxy is only water resistant. The 2 ton is water proof.

5 min won't totally seal the lure, 2 ton will.

also, 5 min will yellow and doesnt give as hard of a finish as 2 ton.

like you found out the hard way, 5 min has very little working time.

How long do you guys usually wait to paint over the 2 Ton?

12 hrs to full cure but I usually wait 24hrs to make sure.   5 min is only used to install the hardware.
