Hi there.  I have done some researches on the forum and want to get the Pflueger 6930 as my spinning reel.  A lot of people are suggesting the lightning rod shock but I just found out the 7 ft one only come in 1 pc and I would rather have a 2 pcs rod for transport reasons.  

 

What are other budget 2 pcs rods I could get to use with the president reel?  I am looking to fish mostly bass but will also be fishing other species that come my way, I don't have the budget for a ton of equipment so I am looking for a multi purpose setup..

I would look at a Fenwick rod. They have a few budget rods that perform really nicely. Also, check out some of Bass Pro Shops' rods, they have lots of 2pc spinning rods.

Abu Garcia Vengence 2 piece 7' medium power spinning rod, it is $49.99 or you can go Ugly Stick GX2 7' medium power in a 2 piece for $39.99.  If you want to go lower than that you would be better off going to yard sales or flea markets.

Both are around $50CAD where I'm located so I'm just gonna check both out and see which one I like best.

Buy what you can afford and be happy with. IMO the ugly stik is a good multi species rod. I used one if the original ugly stiks with a cheap shimano sedona for years when I was younger. I've out fished (guy was using higher end shimano gear) and been out fished with a zebco 33 and an ugly stik. Sometimes its just "how you hold your mouth"

The Lightning Rod is lighter, more sensitive and has better components than an Ugly Stik.
