My downscan imaging appears to have something wrong. I have the Elite 7 chirp and was told by lowrance customer service to update the unit. Has anyone ever done this ? I hope it is something simple

    It's pretty easy. You go online and download their update file and put it on an sd card to put in your locator. You turn it on, let the update do it's thing and then it's done. There's more detailed instructions on the Lowrance website, but it's pretty straight forward.
