I'm fishing the Reel American Heroes tournament on July 25th , never been on the Potomac , the launch is out of Hope Springs Marina , my boat is not the ideal boat for the potomac so in order to stay safe I'm looking at just staying around that area just past the bridge and concentrating efforts on docks and grass there .

Any suggestions / opinions about the tides etc... What to be wary of , prepared for are welcome !

Sam, share your secrets?  I'm always looking for info on the tidal Potomac.  It is a fascinating fishery.  Any references you'd recommend?
