First Rod Warranty Experience And Its A Good One!

About 4 inches snapped off the tip of my St.Croix mojo rod and so I packaged it and sent it to them about a week and a half ago requesting a warranty, I expected to get an email confirming they got it or something but today I walked outside and there is a rod tube on my porch, they replaced it no questions asked!

All they make you do is write a note explaining how it happened and pay for the shipping to and from, pretty good stuff!

I've yet to have any problems with my St. Croixs (I own about a half dozen now), but this is good to hear, in case of the event I do need the warranty.

Thanks for sharing that incident. That's good to know. I'm glad to hear that there's still some companies that stand behind their products. Hopefully, my Avid will never take that trip.

St. Croix probably has one of the best warranties and customer services in the industry.  Never had to use the warranty, but everytime I call or email them they have been nothing but helpful.  That's why I will continue to build my rods on their blanks.  I got the experience of taking the factory tour last fall and the guys in the back are all class acts and gave some good advice to a fellow builder.  If you ever get the chance to visit or are in the area, make sure to stop in there!

They do have good warranty program. The costs kind of stink on low end models (costs shipping to them-$20, plus a $20 check). Before their fedex discount shipping program it cost me $45 for them to replace a triumph that costed $80 new.

I have used their warranty service twice now, and both times it went off without a hitch. And they now have the FedEx shipping service, which cuts shipping costs in half. Good deal, great company!
