This is a Game Changer for me . . . . . .

Never thought I'd see it but I am SO Glad it's the Law.

Now I just need some open water.

Guess the bad thing is now it can't thaw fast enough . . . . . .

Thank you very much for the Generous offer, but with this most recent & very welcome change, I need to ramp up my preseason yard work schedule.  Before today I had over two weeks to get it done.

But now I really need to bust a move.  The ice could go out here in a weeks or so.  I have to be done & ready.

Because once there's open water - I turn into The Invisible Man - now you see him - now you don't.

Looks like Christmas came early this year!

I really don't know why you guys are so surprised. The DNR has backed this the whole time. High wind warnings tommorow, I still plan on wetting a line or two. It's the last OPENING DAY!!

I'll be out there this weekend. Probably throwing jerks, jigs, and plastic worms. Maybe some lipless and squarebills too. Gotta see what them bass want in early April now!

Maybe I'm missing something, but doesn't CIR on that page still state, last Saturday in April?

Looks like they changed it back on that website. Earlier in the day it said year round in red text.

What the heck is going on ?

DNR Pulled a Harry Houdini act  . . . . .here today gone tomorrow.

They posted one thing up and then changed it back ? ? ?

Nothing's changed.  It's the same as it's been

I'm really confused now; not to mention a bit angry.

Well, that's effed. I'm sure they just wanted to improve the wording or one detail was wrong.

Well what the hell. Have to keep an eye on it until it reverts back.

Can't we just pretend that we saw the change yesterday and didn't see a re-neg?

I just talked to a guy in the fisheries division of the dnr. He said that he got an email saying that the order had passed yesterday. He believes that it is an open season as of now, but he's going to get clarification and get back to me today. So stay tuned...

Confirmed. Season on!

Now the question is: who here will get the first one?

  • Super User

I just sent the DNR an email.

If it's "ON", why did they change the regs on line back to the older version ?

Hoping I get a response.

So the DNR changed it back - That's good.

I can come in off the ledge now . . .

Of course - It's snowing right now . .
