Lately I've been fishing out of a kayak with my friend up in the chestetee bay area over near Long Hollow Park. Over the coarse of 4 days I had no luck with any soft plastics but caught some good spots on crankbaits. I had a Kanan Lures Alosa crankbait tied on my baitcaster most of the time and caught one good sized spot on it, and one that was barely 1 pound, both around 4pm and running the crankbait parallel to the bank on the drop off.

Jerkbaits, Topwater walking baits(ONLY reaction innovations vixen) Jigs. Spots bed a lot deeper than largemouths. in the 10+ depth.
