First Boat Question? Please

Featured Replies

Well I made my first bass boat purchase today. Im so excited!!! I purchased a 2008 Triton Ts-17 aluminum boat. Probably similar to bass tracker. One of the things that I was really drawn to was the motor size. The previous owner opted for the much smaller 25hp mercury 4 stroke. What I like about that is I can now fish one of our large resevoirs here in Massachusetts. ( Quabbin resevoir ) to be exact.  Ok heres the question. This motor needs a prop. He had an SS prop on it that he gave to his brother.  Folks I have no Idea at all about prop size or pitch I might need. I am completely lost here on what to purchase and I could really really use some help. I dont understand pitch on a prop. I dont understand size or how many blades vs rpm on the motor. I obviously would like the motor tp perform its best to carry my fat a$$ and the wife around. But have no clue at all on what to factor in before I make my purchase.  Thanks all..-Lee
