I'm new to painting bait. I just wanted to find out what kind of paint I should use? I'm finding old bait that have been beat up and trying to paint them. So if you guy's could help me out that would be great! Thanks in advance  ;D

it doesnt really matter what kind of paint you use, because you'll be putting some kind of protective clear coat over the paint (whether its epoxy, flex coat, dick nites, or what ever).

acrylic paint is cheap (50 cents a bottle) and easy to find, that might be a good paint to start with.

You need to tell us more like  

> brush painting or airbrush ?

> Wood , Plastic , Cork , Metal or Balsa ??

Paint type does matter for these reasons.

scuff up the existing finish on the lures with some fine sandpaper like 300 grit, and then just brush on acrylics.

you can also paint them with regular spray paint.
