Just moved to E City from Clearwater Florida and wondering how the bass fishing is in this area? Are the ponds/lakes in complexes stocked with bass? I live on a pretty big lake so wondering if it's worth a shot or if I'm just gonna look like a goon out there trying to catch a fish where there are no fish.

My mom goes there a few times a year with her husband, and they always catch alot of fish. I have never been, but from the pics I have seen I really want to fish it one day. That lake is full of bass and big bluegill

I went to college in EC, and we pond hopped a little, but did most of our fishing on the river. If you have a boat get out there and fish those cyprus knees!

Hit the Chowan River, one of my favorite places around.

I don't t know about the ponds and lakes you are talking about so can't say one way or the other. If you have a boat I'd get out in the river and fish the river and  all of the small creeks that run into it. There are several rivers you can fish within an hours drive as well as small creeks. Just up the road from you across the causeway is Camden. If you turn left onto 343 and go about a mile there is a boat a public boat launch. Not sure how it would be to fish there but might be an option. Explore and enjoy the abundance of water in this great area.
