pop n image

ok, i tried to use this lure today and couldnt really figure out a good pattern any suggestions??  And for that matter i couldnt keep the stupid straight up in the water for some reason it kept tilting on its right side.  i use a palomer knot. thanks

I have been catching lots of bass of a Pop N Image jr well over 100 this year a lot at night to

I cast mine out let it sit for like 10 seconds a lot of strikes happen then , I usually twitch it twice not really popping it , let it sit 5 seconds or so twitch it again, It takes patience that way but it has worked great for me

If its windy I will work it a bit faster and I dont do a deep popping action with it I make it do more of a spalsh than a bubbling poping action

I tie a clinch knot on mine it has a split ring where I tie it so the knot shouldnt be a factor, I like the shape of the head on them you can do a walk the dog type action with a popping action at the same time , Maybe your line is too heavy? I use Trilene XL 8 pound test

I will see if I have a pic of the color I use its kinda like a shad color on its side and purple on top , It is outfishing any other topwater I have found , even outfishes a black Jitterbug at night

I love that bait maybe it's a defective one have never had one do that. When you start to retreive it the rod should be high once it gets closer to you lower the rod do your normal pop pause pop pop pause etc. I usually leave it set until the waves disappear especially on the initial cast.

i use 12 lb trilene xl. and i think i have the one you're talking about, but today tried the baby bass color one but like i said it was retrieving "true" it kept leaning towards the right side on retrieval. i checked the knot to see if it was tied on towards the right but it was straight so i dunno what was wrong.  maybe ill tie it on my spinning combo which has 8 lb test

Well the size line directly affects the action of some lures in my opinion especially topwater . A heavier line has more of a downward pulling motion on the nose of a bait . And seems to be less flexible and limits a lures action ..

That is my opinion I know the line test makes a difference . Maybe someone can explain it better though.
