  1. Avid is there such thing as a "prime" in fishing?? just thought that was a funny statement.
  2. whats up with the duck one??
  3. True story, this happened yesterday. I drove down to my hometown about 30 minutes away. I've had an itch to fish a pond that i knew was posted that i went to about 10 years ago. I pull up to a house that i thought owned it, turns out no, but the guy was nice enough to chat a little bit and point me to the right house. Go to the house knock on the door. And nothing, no answer, so i left. I mean I really wanted to fish this place I know that it never gets fished!!! But just wasnt worth the hassle of getting caught and who knows maybe they'll answer the door one day. It is a rush to fish private ponds, heck in high school we used to go "pool hopping" at night but im 26 now dont feel like going to jail for fishing
  4. that was crazy!!!! i found myself wanting the lions to get trampled, lol. nice vid and thanks
  5. I was not going to say anything but after thinking about it and reading the recipe a couple of times i couldnt resist... I say get rid of the tomato sauce. Fish and canned tomato products dont mix too well IMHO and professional, especially in the way that is. I think a nice Provencal would be better. Garlic, cherry tomatoes cut in half, fresh parsley, white wine, salt and pepper and finished with whole butter. and keep the cooking method you have for the fish... if i just made anyone mad im sorry. to me it would seem like a red mess and really take away from the fish because thats what you are eating remember..ok im done
  6. thanks for the info man.. ill go to gander mtn and check em out i "sway" the company name or just the name of the bait??
  7. I have the inferno spinning reel and it is real smooth i like it a lot and for 40 bucks you cant beat it IMO but whatever i dont have 10 combos to compare it to. Harley Davidson almost went out of business for putting out shotty bikes and found that they just needed to stick with what got em there so....
  8. yeah i really dont trust myself to throw a 15 dollar lure out there to lose!!! but i have an assortment of topwaters that i havent tried like the zara spook and puppy, and is the tiny torpedo a walk the dog lure or just retrieve?? and whats the action that im looking for to see that im doing it right?? thanks guys for the info btw
  9. Ok, im going out to try some of my topwaters like the zara puppy, spook, chug bug, tiny torpedo. what is walk the dog technique?? I read some articles and i dont think they gave a decent description on how the perform this technique. So I'm asking you guys thanks

i do agree with you on the skills avid. i do like de la hoya and always enjoy a good fight seriously how old is oscar?? i liked him when he was in his prime but this may be a stretch. but i wouldnt mind seeing a smack talker get put on his butt either so either way i just hope its worth the hype

all i know is if you watched the arturo gatti fights with mayweather de la hoya is in trouble and i think gatti is a lot tougher than oscar sorry but my money is on floyd this will prove pound for pound best fighter. golden boy should stick to promoting
  18. i use 12 lb trilene xl. and i think i have the one you're talking about, but today tried the baby bass color one but like i said it was retrieving "true" it kept leaning towards the right side on retrieval. i checked the knot to see if it was tied on towards the right but it was straight so i dunno what was wrong. maybe ill tie it on my spinning combo which has 8 lb test

how de la hoya now?? i dunno i saw floyds last fight and that guy is sickly fast. if your into boxing you should watch the contender special they have right now on tuesdays @ 9pm alfonso gomez is great i love watching him fight. i just have trouble spending 50 or 60 bucks to watch a fight it should be free boxing has been down for awhile now and they need to draw some good fights and more fans. i just wish iron mike didnt mess up his life he was a beast and i dont care if hes crazy he was fun to watch
  20. i bought the inferno spinning reel
  21. well i went out on a limb and bought it... today was my first day using it and let me tell you its a sweet reel, smooth, great casting, looks nice and for the money i think it was worth it. now i dont have any high end reels to compare it to but for 40 bucks its a bargain IMHO
  22. ok, i tried to use this lure today and couldnt really figure out a good pattern any suggestions?? And for that matter i couldnt keep the stupid straight up in the water for some reason it kept tilting on its right side. i use a palomer knot. thanks
  23. great vid thanks
  24. I've been thinking hard on buying some jigs but have no idea where to start or how to use them. But i do like the fact that they are pretty cheap compared to other lures. For equipment i have one spinning rod and one baitcasting rod. the spinning rod is a 6'6 M Bionic blade 8lb test and the baitcasting is a 7'MH bionic blade 12lb test which one would be sufficent and any help is much appreciated.
  25. road warrior thats an awesome site thanks!!!! that helped me see what knots ive been curious about practicing
