  1. IMO-there many more hands touching and loading into trucks than loading into one plane. I'm going to plaster all over the tube. Be careful! Glass! fragile!!!! Not going to say that will work but lately FedEx and USPS has not been doing a super job getting my packages here, on time and in one piece. But, that's IMO!
  2. I'm heading to Fla. this spring. Southwest airlines allows poles as long as the tube is 3" dia. and no more than 96". I have a tube that my last poles were shipped. Going to wrap them good. Can't be any worse than reg. shipping! Besides, it won't cost any extra. (noticed I didn't say free!)
  3. Location: Central Indiana Temp: Ave 75 Sky: Sunny/Part. Water temp: 70 at top Fishing my local old gravel pit running fish finder all over. I noticed that the edge drops off very quickly to ave 20-25 ft deep. Most of lake is at that depth. Summer days I can catch bass dropping off the ledge with a texas rig, senko, crank, lipless. As I trolled I could not pick up any fish on the fish finder untill I found the deepest spot on the lake. Went from 20-25 to 33 ft. There were fish holding about 24 ft down. There were no structure that I could feel texas riggin. Water is very clear. Rigged up a shaky head and the bass started to tear it up! Why so deep already? Been out again and seems they are still holding in that deep spot. This time had no luck catching. Maybe need to try a drop shot? Get my worm up higher?
  4. I'n two weeks I'll be doing a fly in fishing trip in Canada. The lake we will be on is great for smallmouth. I know there will be walleye and northerns biting. What is a good line to use and what bait is good for smallies in Canada. Thanks
  5. mostly Gamma EWG 5/0. If I can find them I will buy Owner 5/0 rig-n-hook. sucker is sharp!
  6. My Revo SX has been making a grinding sound and can feel it when reeling it in. I took it about and I can see where it is coming from. One of the small gears that sits in there does not sit tight and moves around causing the two gears to grind somewhat. Not knowing what they call this gear I can't tell you which one. But looking at it can't see how it would get "stretched" out. Oh were is "The Reel Mechanic?"
  7. I own both. My Citica DPV is used for crank baits. It has the 5.0:1 ratio. I really like it. My Revo SX is smaller and fits the palm well but it is starting to have internal problems. Cleaned it twice this year and finding that when I reel it in it has a grinding sound. Will post that issue. For the money you cannot go wrong with the Citica.
  8. I was wondering as well. Here in Central Indiana in my area. There are no topwater cover. All open. Grass on the bottom. So, this setup would be of no use to me. I think.
  9. I've been doing really well with the Bomber "B" Fire Tiger. Great for ponds. Does not dive very deep. Lots of wobble. Size has produce larger bass. Going back for more today!
  10. Yeah! what he said! ;D I fish a old gravel pit that is super clear. It is only about 40ft at it's deepest. On sunny days you can see 15-20 ft. deep. I catch more bass on plastic texas rigged worms or senko style fishing than anything else. Natural colors.

I'm wondering if all this chemical bonding will effect strikes due to the chemical leaching into the water?
  12. The larger ones are always on the opposite side of the pond when I fish. ;D
  13. About a month ago I bought my first. Tonight at the park with a bunch of people fishing I felt a little "tat" "tat" and pulled in a 5 lber! I was King of the Pond tonight! Great rod!
  14. How do you know the line is bad? I've posted a few time on this site about this line I'm using. I have tied 4 different knots and all break when completing the knot. And yes, i know how to tie a knot.
  15. It was P-Line Evolution. I don't have the receipt anymore. I got it a Sportsmans Warehouse.
