  1. Can someone tell me why I cant put a picture up? It says its too large but the maximum attachment size is 150 KB. I have cropped the picture down and down to 108 KB and it still says its too large. It was a picture from another persons camera so I cant take another one, any help?
  2. BassMaster I have a little fish in my aquarium I just got about a week ago. Im gonna try and put a pic of it on here soon because I dont quite know what it is. It looks like a mix between a bass and bream. It is really neat watching him eat. When I first put him in I had 8 goldfish and 2 beta fish in the tank and he ate them all in about 4 days. I only got to see him attack one beta fish, it was really neat, he snuck up on him behind some fake weeds and engulfed him but then the beta fish somehow got out. For the next 2 days I jsut went out and found grasshoppers and crickets, they didnt last more than a second in the water. I bought some fishing worms and thats what Im feeding him right now, its amazing how fast he can get a worm down. I swear one worm was longer than him and he ate it in 2 gulps. I think you should add some fake weeds or a fake plant or something, they have them at walmart and my fish seems to like them. Cool fish though
  3. well i went with 2 small warmouths instead of bass lol couldnt get the small bass to bite anything before these would get to it. theyve already eaten a goldfish and beta fish so i guess they'll be cool pets
  4. that has got to be the coolest boat ive ever seen
  5. if im not mistaken that is naming specific bodies of water such as public lakes and parts of rivers that have size limits. some have 14, some 16, 18, 20, 26 inch limits but thats just for those certain lakes or rivers right?
  6. http://www.ncwildlife.org/pg02_Regs/2008_09_Inland_Regs.pdf im not sure if im overlooking anything but there is the inland game fish regulations for n.c so if you can find where i would be breaking the law please tell me because it looks perfectly legal to me
  7. What did you see that would make it illegal? I just looked it up and i will be using a hook and line and it is a private lake, my family owns it. Its only certain public places that have a size minimum. I respect what you guys are saying that dont agree with it. I have the same feelings towards keeping dogs inside the house but my gf thinks otherwise so we have arguments about this stuff alot. I have done lots of research on it and I think you guys should look it up a little. theres lots of websites on keeping bass in an aquarium.
  8. it will have plenty of food and a nice aquarium, im in college and there is nothing to do so i would have plenty of time to take care of him. i just think its kinda hypocritical to say its not right to keep one when we all go out and trick them into thinking theyre getting a nice meal then getting jerked right out of their home and into a livewell and sometimes killed or injured. I dont think they like that. I love animals just as much as anyone, when he gets too big for my aquarium I'll take him to a pond nearby. Thanks most of you for the advice
  9. so im gonna take a small bass, about 5 inches give or take, out of the lake behind my house. the water is crystal clear and there are tons of small bream and bass around the edges. its really deep everywhere, it was an old rock quarrey, but you can see all the small fish near the banks about 2-5 feet down. well usually i can take ppl who have never fished or my little nephew there with a tiny jig head with a little tube and catch one on every cast. for some reason when i went today to keep one for my aquarium not one would bite it. most of them are small bream but any advice on what to use to catch one of the small bass?
  10. so ive seen quite a few bass kept in aquariums on youtube and some other websites. im thinking about getting an aquarium for my apartment and keeping a small bass out of my private pond in it. the only problem is my apartment is about 30 mins from my house with the pond. do you think a bass could make it that far and how would you transport it? do any of you have a "pet bass?" if so do you have to change the water in the aquarium every so often? an info would help
  11. Most of the time it depends on the course but if you dont see any no fishing signs i would ask the manager or pro and im sure they would let you early in the morning or late in the evening when its not as crowded. lol be careful around the golfers, it doesnt take much to really tick some off
  12. I just saw this duplicolor bedliner online and it comes in aerosol cans. Its alot cheaper, I was thinking about spraying the inside of my jon boat with it, maybe fix a little leak i have. Anyone dealt with it or heard anything about it?
  13. sometimes my trick worm will start just doing little circles instead of moving like it normally does. does this happen to you guys? i hate it but the trick worm is definately my favorite thing to use in shallow water. june bug is my favorite
  14. try a weightless trick worm by zoom, any dark color. works great up here in N.C ponds
