Phenix Frog Rod???

Featured Replies

I really like the Phenix Maxim casting rods and am going to get one for frogging in 7 ft 3 length but don't know whether to get 7 ft 3 med/hvy which has a fast taper or 7 ft 3 heavy with an extra fast taper...I have heard Phenix rods are usually softer than others so I don't know which model to get. Thanks

I would defiantly get the 7'3 h I've used em both and it's the perfect rod for frogs

I use the M1 in Heavy for Frogging and pair it with  a Quantum Smoke Speed Freak

The XF in Phenix is not as fast as say a Powell or St Croix XF.

Go H.

How long have Phenix rods been around? I had first heard of them a couple months ago, but after seeing all of the reply's to this post it seems like they existed before Aaron Martins switched from mega-bass?

Go to Phenix Rods website and then go to lower right hand corner and click about.

they have been around for a long time they are extremely  popular in saltwater now but not many freshwater guys have heard of em.

Been around in one form/owner or another for years.  Saltwater and west coast dominant.
