One Of Those Days....

Featured Replies

One of those days yesterday where everything you did seemed to pay off. The Bluegill were heavily nested on banks and the bass were off the edges in 5-7 FOW. Spinnerbaits worked around the edges of the banks took the bulk of the good fish, including my new personal best of over 6lb.  6 fish over 4lb with a 6lb kicker is the best day I've ever had around here. Most of the fish came on a War Eagle Nickel Screaming Eagle. 30+ fish on that bait and with only 2-3 pulled skirt strands. Becoming my favorite Spinnerbaits by far.

Thanks! This water can be challenging at times, but I've had some really good days here.

Spots like that slowly dicinigrate-productivity wise, least for me.

But fish it nonfrequently, and make it last longer!

With real clear water, try medium size swimbaits while the bass are guarding their fry of this year. They really hate the bluegill/shiners trying to eat their hatchlings/fry.

Nice catch, Keep the photos coming. (seriously though, when the bass eggs hatch and their guarding them, use the bream imitating swimbait.)
