That would be the carnage on anything the bluefish can bite and swallow.

The carnage on my bucktails and my sore hands.

 

I sensed the slowing of the blue bite  a few days ago,but its on again.

I usually don`t keep but a few ,but today 5 came home.

My wife made some fishcakes of them last week and they were real tasty.

 

Fresh strips of blue on a light bucktail makes an excellent flounder bait too. Anymore than a day old it gets to soft.

    definitely some crazy bluefish this year with tons of big ones. I throw out a big metal lip swimmer and as soon as I hear the big splash when it hits the water I get a bite. Not always but when they turn on then it can get like that. I see people bring out big trash bags when the cooler is filled.
