This is my pitching rod. The handle was to long for me, the butt was hitting my elbow when casting different angles. I had it cut 2.25", The tech was able to save the very end of the butt. (infused cork) He cut and shaped the EVA. The handle feels exactly as I had in mind. Bam!

 

I was with him in his shop when he removed the stock butt and cut the rod. He had all that done in a matter of minutes.  Pretty cool process.
