  1. I was using higher end Lews reels for many years. Switched to Daiwa which I like, but the drag isn’t strong enough for setting hooks in heavy cover. To many lost fish. Lews did much better. I saw this reel, looks good and the specs are Hard to beat. Thanks for the heads up on the discount code.
  2. Has anyone bought this reel? Im curious, need info before I buy. Thx in advance, Wayne in RI
  3. My boat hull transom is stepped, I’m being extra careful about placing the mount blocks, using 5200. No holes.
  4. Need experienced advice, want to mount 2 Garmins on mounting blocks. Where should they be placed? Advice appreciated.
  5. I don’t think the Bob Cat is available anymore. scratch this post, there was some paper stuffed in the tubes. scratch the wire run from the bow to stern, there is a tube about 6”s down. Didn’t see it.
  6. Wiring the Z17 Snake the power and finder and network cables thru the gun wales. Don’t try the the keel, it’s to narrow. From console to the back. Easy with a fiberglass snake. 3 - 8 gauge power duplex wires and 2 transducer cables. 2 from bow to stern. 1 network cable from the console to the stern with a network jumper. All Garmin, Live scope, 2 - 102. 1 - 106 and a 93 Ultra. Drill a 1.5” hole thru the console in-line with forward of the factory hole. , snake to the bow and stern.
  7. Here’s a question for Nitro Z17 owners, are you able to place 7’6” rods in the center front deck locker? My new 2024 will not fit them. Not to happy about this..
  8. ? Now, I have to order some parts and start my installs. I have an Ultrex 80.. would like to swap over to the Power Pole Move, but 5k?
  9. sorry, that was a response to Catt The Z17 was a good fit for me. Bought from Richie at Thayre Marine. ( I will not buy from a chain store. ) Picked the boat up yesterday, now in my garage..
  10. Interesting, the Z17 is a bit heavier than your Skeeter.
  11. Nitro Z17? I’ve read good and bad.. tell me what you know. Make recommendations. Definitely appreciated. It’s a lotta money. I prefer an 18’ but can’t go that long, won’t fit in my garage.
  12. I’m all in with the ArK Reinforcer rods. pure excellence. Gave up my Tatulas and Exprides. Kistler Helium and Z Bones still on the boat next to the Arks.
  13. You’re point has been made along with others who replied. Just want to say thanks to all. the glass boats are top notch but after considering all, I’ll stick with my 1754. The boat does everything I need for NE. ✅
  14. I’m looking, what you mention is the same as all the reviews I read or seen about those boats. I see it’s been happening for years. Zero interest in that brand. will probably go glass this time.
  15. Looking at buying a new 18’ glass bass boat. Step up from my 1754 Grizzly. Want to know about the quality of the Triton, Ranger and Nitro. Feedback will be appreciated. WPCfishing
