My trolling motor quit today. Then started again but only at high speed. It's a variable speed transom mount motor I use to power my canoe. 

 

Any idea's what the problem could be?

 

It is under warranty.

    I have had problems like that with Motor Guide trolling motors never a Minn Kota. The problem was a bad coil in the motor. Since you have warranty let them fix it.
