Baitcaster To Fit My Daiwa Lexa

Featured Replies

I'm somewhat new to baitcasters and don't want to spend a bunch of money on one but I want the best I am get. I want a med hvy rod with like a fast action around like 7 ft or shorter. I'm not sure what rod to get though. Can anyone help? Also I'm buying a Daiwa lexa reel for the rod but am not sure what size or kind to get. Should I get the lexa 100? The small or medium reel? TW has them on sale. I don't want the whole combo to be more than 150

The 100 size is standard bass reel with 6:3.1 retreive, why not match it with the Daiwa T series rod also on sale, it's 33% off on sale. Are you wanting a left hand retreive?

I have several lexa 100s and love em. I also recently got a daiwa t rod and love that.

My advice is go to the store you plan on purchasing the reel at. While you're there mount the reel to several rods. I can't stress enough how important it is to get a rod with the reel seat you're going to feel is most comfortable for long hours of casting and retrieving.
