I know this topic has probably been brought up before, but I found nothing.

I was just curios on how to attach hook to a lure I make out of Aluminite. This is the same stuff they make it out of on Hunt for big fish.

Some people use twisted wire and some just use screw eyes.  BTW, it's Alumilite.

How would I put the hook harnesses in? should I make a two piece and attach between the two parts?

not trying to hijack the thread, but where do you get this? seems like it would be nice to make some cranks/swimbaits out of..thanks

You can order it online.  Alumilite has a website and you can also get it from larry dahlberg's site.  I'm sure there are other places.  As far as wire through, just do it like you would wood.  You can drill holes through it like the wood.  Better yet, mold a finished bait and then make a wire harness that matches up to the eyelets in your mold.  Then pour the resin in.  Haven't tried it but it should work.

On the show, he put his harness through the bait before the plastic hardened.  The when the bait was done the harness was molded in to the bait.
