Buck Tails?

Featured Replies

I just went to bass pro shops today and bought a white Holographic buck tail, the stripers go crazy on them over here at silverwood so I decided to buy one, the problem is, that it's a 1oz and my pole is 1/4-3/4 oz weight, I don't have a pole that can support that... Could I use the buck tail for my pole because I really want to give it a shot but but doesn't want to have to buy a pole just for one lure, it was my fault for buying it 1oz but that's all they had left. My pole is an Ugly stik elite mH baitcasting

Fish it.

If your Ugly Stik is anything like my old mh Stik: it's a stout rod and can handle it. Not ideal but definitely workable.

Can't address your rod specially but with the exception of bass fishing I overload all my rods.  1/4 oz should not be a big deal, I see ugly sticks down here a lot and yes people overload them.

You're good. Like SirSnookalot said, 1/4 oz won't make a big difference.
