I just got a LH revo sx and bubs punch rod by irod. My plan was to put the revo on the punch rod and keeping the lews RH reel on my all purpose g loomis e6x rod. I am right handed and I go lefty on spinning reels. I'm new to baitcasters, which is why I have a lefty and a righty. I can go either way though.. Opinions please..

Probly want the sx for punching because that way your hands will already be set for setting the hook. Won't have to switch hands. Pitch or flip with your right hand then switch the rod to your left to start reeling (if you even do that)

You wil get better casting distance on the lews and since the drag on your punching reel will most likely be locked down, just put the sx on the punching rod.

I would definitely use the revo sx for punching over the speed spool.

Definately use the revo for punching the lews is a great all purpose reel tho and a personal favorite of mine.

100% agree. Punch with the revo. Its also a metal frame is it not? That's a plus.

Left handed is trully the way to go for punching. Just make sure you turn your reel sideways as you pull your line out, or your slack may catch on your reel handle.

Why would the lews cast further than the sx?? I have both reels and one will outcast the other with certain baits and vice versa...
