    I just did a search to find out what this reel looks like. To see if it looks anything like the Ardent Denny Brauer Fliipin Reel. Thank God it doesn't look like the flipping reel. I can't say what I think it looks like because this is a family oreintated fishing site.

    To answer your question.No, I have not tried it but if I wanted to blow a small amount on a reel and just take my chances, I would try to find a good deal on a Shimano Caius.

    X2 on the caius. Great little reel for the money. Plus you can consistently find them for sub $50.

    This is later release than the reels that awarded them such an awful reputation so they very well could have corrected all of their problems but not a lot of people are taking the gamble. Don't Buy!!
