hey newbie here. i really want to start making my own lures and i figure jig tying is as good of place as any to start. what all do i need to start? what tools and all. thanks

do you want to pour your own lead heads? If so you will need the following. If you don't want to mess with the lead pouring there are several guys on the forum that can sell you pre poured jig heads

1. Lots of money you would other wise need ;D

2. Lead head molds of jigs you want to make

3. Lead Melting Pot, I reccommend a bottom pour they are much easier to use

4. Hooks for your lead mold

5. Paint, I prefer powder paint

6. Material for jig skirt, this depends on the type of jig you want to make, silicone skirts, buck tail for hair jigs, flashabou for tinsel jigs the possibilities are endless
