9" Slug-Gos

Featured Replies

Any guys using these for bass? What times of year do they work best for you?

I like them all times of the year, right now I have been throwing them up in the junk Texas rigged with no weight for shallow fish.  I also like them on drop shots and the mojo-rig.  if you are fishing over grass with the mojo-rig it kind of looks like a shad that's having trouble.  Most of the time I cant find Slug-go's here so I just use flukes, looks the same to me. but just my experience.

The Slug-Go is one of my all time favorites in any size really- just a fantastic darty/jerky presentation.

I usually cut it off at the 6" though for the regular "fat" style and then go with the Slug-Go SS (which is a 9" also I believe) for a longer albeit more slender look.  They have the same forebody of the 4" and a long, whiplike tail...  Honestly nothing walks like it.  It's just so whippy and erratic, it drives the fish insane and stays in the strike zone a long time because you can literally just walk them in place.
