Sleepy Creek Lake

Featured Replies

Hey I was wondering if anyone has recently visited Sleepy Creek Lake in Berkeley Springs, WV. I see they have a campground. Two things are easy to find out about this place, 1) the road in is awful 2) the bass are big. I'm hesitant to take my sedan with kayaks on the roof down the road. Does any know if this is possible without an AWD vehicle?

I've only fished the lake 4 times (twice last spring, twice this spring), but I would say it's possible to take your sedan with kayaks.  The road is rough in spots but not impassable.  I went with a buddy in his pickup towing a Bass Tracker.

We never had much luck but there are big ones in there.  Good luck!!

I hear its tough, but everyone believes there are bigguns in there. I want to take my kayak and give it a whirl. Thanks for the info.

The times I've fished it I've seen more kayaks than boats (it's a "no gas motors" lake).  Good luck!
