I caught a bass with a live target walking frog tonight, and the hooks on that lure were really difficult to get out of the fish.  They are really high quality, and I'm sure would be great for tournaments etc, but since I'm just doing catch and release for fun, I was wondering if I should swap the hooks out for something else, and if so what kind of treble hook I should use?

Crush the barbs on the hooks and it should be a ton easier to get the hooks out. On the flipside you may lose a few fish by them throwing the hook more often. So I guess your decision should be based on what you would prefer, easier unhooking or more fish in the boat (or more fish on the shoreline??) Good Luck!

Are livetarget walking frog hooks that much harder to undo than other baits?

The hooks are much sharper and pointed inward a bit.  You're more likely to catch a fish with them, but at the same time I think they're a little too much for me personally.  

From the ones I've seen, they look just like any other treble hook out there. If you're concerned, mash the barbs down.
