Casting Rod To Pair A Chronarch Ci4 Mainlt Top Water Lures

Featured Replies

Hi,  I'm finally ready to purchase another rod for my chronarch.  I've been using a St Croix model (can't remember the name) but it is quite heavy so I'd like to replace it with something geared towards my fishing style.

I usually use topwater lures, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, spoons, spooks, etc. I'm looking for a rod to pair with my chronarch CI4.  I cast out quite a bit so something light would be ideal.

The lake we fish in usually has calmer waters and we mainly fish for Pike/Bass (located in Quebec, Canada)

After researching, one that comes up often is the G. Loomis IMX or GL2 series.   Any opinions on it?  Or what else would you be able to recommend?

I love using my St. Croix Avid 7' Medium-Fast (AVC70MF) on my ci4 for topwater fishing.
