I would like to build 2 spinning rods and 1 bait casting  rod to throw worms, not Senkos though. Spinning rods will be for friends who took me drift boat fishing on the Green river!! Have been cruising looking for a kit, but getting sensory overload. Can any suggest blanks or kits for worm rod. This will be my first build.  I am on a budget due to my wife getting laid off so am looking for biggest bang for the buck!! Thanks for any help!!!!!!

What kind of worm and weight - shakey head is going to need something different than a carolina rig - but they are both worms!

Personally I would suggest the Batson RX6s if this is your first build. Good variety of blanks, modest cost, and pretty good performance. They aren't high end stuff, but good nonetheless. Batson sells them under their "Forecast" line of blanks.

I personally have not used the RX6 blanks, but after having read Alex's posts on RBO for some time now I would trust his recommendation.  If you are looking to spend slightly more money and get a lifetime warranty and a better blank please look into the Batson RX7 line of blanks.  I build 80% of my rods on RX7 blanks and I am pretty sure you will be very pleased with them.

bow is right. The RX7s are good blanks and good warranty.

Another option is to call Lance over at Swampland Tackle - great guy and has everything to set you up in a castaway style kit. Good blanks there too. They have a great warranty too as you deal directly with them.. not castaway.

Both sticks are great values given their price range +/- $50 The RX7 is bit heavier, but has a slightly  faster tip. The XP3 is really light and has a smaller butt, but has a tad slower action. In hand, the action of both sticks are very similar, I think the XP3 is closer to fast than moderate.

As mentioned above, Swamplandtackle carries the XP3, and Lance is one heck of a guy to do business with.
