I recently purchased a Gen 3 HDS 12 to replace the Elite 7 I have at the console. I'm moving the 7 to the bow. The Elite 7 does not have an Ethernet connection to network with the 12 so is the NMEA connection the only way to network the 2 units or is there an adapter for the Elite 7 to be able to use the Ethernet cable? Thanks for the help!

    NMEA is the only way to link those two units.  I believe all you will be able to share is waypoints.
