Yamamoto Swimbait

Featured Replies

Anyone fish the 5" swimbait. Bought some from BP on a whim

for some reason they call them a salt water lure, but they work great for bass and are stronger than other yamamoto stuff.  They would sell a lot more of these if they didnt call them saltwater.

I just bought some panther martin that they called saltwater baits, and it shows all of these saltwater fish names on the package, but going to their website revealed that they also catch many other fish, including large and small mouth bass.  I think a package of 4-6 of these baits cost me a whole 3.50 plus tax at wal-mart, so I figured I could give them a try!  *Bait monkey sits on my shoulder rubbing his hands together, with an evil grin and foam running from his mouth*  Should I be worried?!

Put 'em on a 1/4 oz jig head and start swimming  ;D ;D ;D

I think they call them saltwater probably for the saltwater stripes and redfish.  The reds tear these things to pieces.  I have had just about as much success w/ them in freshwater as I have for bull reds.
