Just Getting Into Bass Fishing Need Help!

Featured Replies

Recently while visiting family down south I started to fish again.  When I came back home I decided I wanted to get back into fishing.  I took the fishing pole my dad had when we were kids but after doing a little bit of research found out that won't be good enough.  I am wondering what a good fishing pole would be for a beginner for Bass fishing.  I don't want one that will break the bank maybe around 100 dollars or less if possible as I am still in college.  I would prefer a spinning reel kind too as those are the ones I feel most comfortable using.  Any links or information would be great.  Thanks in advance!

A great bang for your buck spinning reel is the Pflueger president. Either the 25 or 30 size. A presifent spinning combo would serve you well. Spool it up and go fish. Like this one.

The combo I have is a Medium Light Abu Garcia Vengeance with the Cardinal SX20 size reel. I have it spooled with #6 Yo Zuri hybrid. It's a perfect setup for what I do in my pond ( throw weightless plastics). And the bass I've caught there are all under 2 pounds. Eventually you will want a Baitcaster but for now stick with a good medium or medium light spinning combo to throw plastic worms and crankbaits. I'm no expert or anything in fact I've just started out so I'm just telling you what was easiest for me.
