Is there any clear finish available you could apply to a soft bodied frog such as a Spro to protect the factory paint job?  After a few fish and dragging it through the slop they look a bit rough.  Not that it matters much to the fish, they'll annihilate an old one just like a new one.  Thanks.

No idea on a soft flexible finish that will hold up... but wanted to give you a shout out since I'm also in Bell County... (Belton)

Oh well, no biggie.  Like I said, they'll kill one old or new.

if i had to do this, i would try 3 things first, not sure if any of them will work...

sally hansen's hard as nails

krylon clear acrylic spray

krylon clear enamel spray

I should have mentioned I tried a fingernail polish topcoat but after a couple of casts it was coming off.  It wasn't hard as nails brand though.  I might have to try the krylons too.  I think there's a couple of cans out in the shed.  Thanks.

I did have one thought but not sure if it's worth the effort....  how about something like softex, it's a rubberized coating (clear) that we use in fly tying.  It's pretty tough.  Just a thought.
