Storm Soft Crankbaits

Featured Replies

Wondering if anyone has tried them and if they are productive / Durrable?

I seen them on a video once and they look to swim pretty life like, and they look decent in the stores but I'm wondering if I should pick up a couple.

Like the title says they are storm lures, soft crankbaits.

Thanks.

You mean swimbaits?  A soft crank bait would have a bill on it, so that it could slightly dive, medium, or fully dive...  A swim bait has a paddle tail, and it swims like a fish...

xxmur1xx,

I have tried two versions the Shad and the craw. I had some luck with the shad in the early spring but no luck with the craw yet. I have found they domnt work that well you have to crank them slow or the bait tends to run sidways and does not get any depth. I think your better off with a fluke or a tube, the baits are frustating to me and dont crank well.

The soft bodied lures with the plastic lip.

Hate em.

bought a couple cause I wanted to give them a try.

The look ok in the water, I just don't like em.

Not a crankbait, not a swimbait, not a jerk bait, just a stupid cheaply made piece of soft plastic with a harder piece of soft plastic stuck under it's chin.

did I say I hate em? >:)

Me too!  >:P

That's right, I did see those at wal-mart, and giggled a little.  I knew better than to let the bait monkey talk me into something like that!  :)  I would rather spend my money on tiki sticks, and panther martin swim baits before wasting my hard earned money on that junk!  :P

I agree w/ wicky and avid.  Save your money and buy something better.  All that youll catch w/ those thing is your wallet.
